I like our OL this year. Some superior youth, at OG I.e., would be nice but very promising potential and depth.

I like our OL this year. Some superior youth, at OG I.e., would be nice but very promising potential and depth. It would be great to add a highly talented OG like Cooper but as his draft position suggests he's a once in a decade type player. I think we'll be good with simply using later picks to supplant older linemen and keep bringing in veterans into the rotation. Don't think we'll see a big ticket I-OL in Brady's remaining years. Solder has reportedly gotten bigger according to Ofor, hard to imagine, kid was huge last year, has the makings of an all-pro player given the strides he made from a horrible pres-season to a very solid regular season.

Health will be key but since injuries always happen the depth should serve us well. I like Svitek as a back up and am a bit surprised to see many, not here, consider him on the bubble.

No. I'm as large as one is allowed to get. Smaller, like in the quote. That way you can see more messages on the screen. Gotcha. I'm testing to see how you guys are carrying and responding to prior quotes.

So Mac, I was thinking that at some point it's going to get hard to read through these boards since we have to scroll down to get to the newest posts....is there a way to create new threads with the same topic headline that has a date stamp so that instead of scrolling through 200 posts to get to new posts we can just choose a monthly or bi-weekly dated thread on the same topic?
Maybe there's a folder method that will allow us to keep the main topic on the main board but open up to date stamped sub-topics. Just throwing it out there.

Good idea. Maybe I/we can reverse the order so the most recent is at the top? When I have some time I will see what I can do.

NFL network airing the Patriot's championship years, man, what a unique group of players, so many veterans who knew where to be when to be there and the coaching staff was awesome. Makes you wonder if we'll ever get back to the Super Bowl with the way this Offense has played in the playoffs and how mediocre this defense can be, not fair to compare this D to years past because the veteran leadership and playmaking talent just isn't there....I really hope Adrian Peterson and some youth up front can help this year, could really use a pass-rusher.

Adrian Wilson....ha, AP is so good he just takes over my keyboard. What a pick he, AP, would have been in last year's fantasy football draft. What surprises await this year? Will R Bush total more than 2000 combined run and catch? I think so. Will Chris Johnson gain 2000 or more? Not! Will Welker decline and Amendola rise? I hope so. Will Peyton maintain his greatness or finally start to decline injuries or not? I think decline.

What's up guy. I'm liking this site. It sucks baseball is the only sport going right now. Lets get some good football talk going.
Some interesting topics mac. I think Reggie Bush has a huge year and they finally get the explosive back they were looking for in J.Best a few years ago. Definitely can't see 2,000 from C.Johnson ever again.
Lets get some predictions going for stats this year or maybe some breakout players.

Thanks mac. Here's a tough question, obviously it's too early to know who will be on the team or who will be healthy but besides DA, who will lead the team in receiving for the first month of the season?

Here's a tough question, obviously it's too early to know who will be on the team or who will be healthy but besides DA, who will lead the team in receiving for the first month of the season? Amendola for sure, if PFF carries any weight then he'll be just as effective as Wes Welker, maybe try not to leave him out to dry as much as TB was doing to WW, this kid has talent and I'm sure the Pats will find ways to get him open. The issue will be the Wideouts, can Jones/Jenkins and Dobson/Boyce draw enough attention to make room for DA because we know the TE's won't be doing that anytime soon.

I'm excited about this Defense; I love Adrian Wilson, there's no way he's less effective than our other options at SS and I think the toughness of our CB's could play well, finally. Talib is a big physical CB, Dennard is shorter and stockier but equally aggressive, Arrington in the slot is so much better than anywhere else and the unknowns of Ryan, Dowling, Harmon and the other Wilson will make for an interesting depth chart.
I like the additions along the D-front but worry a veteran pass-rusher is missing. Bernard was mentioned at NEPD as a possible sleeper but until I see something from Buchanan or Bequette I'm not sold we have the artillery to bring the heat on 3rd down on a consistent enough basis.
If we don't start seeing improvements from front-7 players then I worry about this coaching staff. Where's the progress?

Yeah Bernard was an up and coming pass rusher a few years ago. He had 7.5 sacks on a terrible Cle team, then I think got into a bad accident or something like that, and has been trying to get healthy ever since. I don't know who's going to step up for our pass rush but we need a speed rusher to step up badly. We have tons of strength up front but we need a guy with a great motor to just throw the QBs timing off so they're not sitting back there all comfortable like we always allow them to. Could be Collins, Buchanon, Francis, Bequette, Bernard, Cunningham or Hightower. We know Jones, VW and Kelly will collapse the pocket but most times that takes too long to actually get to the QB. I think our LDE will be the key to our D's success this year!

Kelly and Armstead will hopefully be good interior additions in 4-man fronts or 5-tech rushers in 3-man fronts. I would love for Hightower to get a shot rushing the passer more often, he has 8-10 sack potential if he weren't being asked to drop into coverage or stay home so often.

I predict Cruz, from the get go, never will live up to his contract.

Kelly has a history that indicates he will produce. Armstead is a hope. I am with you Pan in believing Hightower might be our best bet as a top pass rusher if we alter his role and let him loose.

Wilson will start as SS but in sub packages become a cover LB. Let's hope the other, T. Wilson demonstrates dramatic improvement pushing Gregory down or out. Due to salary cap hit I don't see him being cut particularly with all the dead cap money this year due to a hole AH.

Thanks mac. Here's a tough question, obviously it's too early to know who will be on the team or who will be healthy but besides DA, who will lead the team in receiving for the first month of the season? Gronk if healthy and not on the PUP. Ballard if he is. I think he will be our surprise offensive player. Vereen also will show increased production but as an expectation not a surprise.

I don't see Tannehill making the expected leap whereas I expect Luck, Griffin, Wilson and Kaepernick to continue showing significant improvement along with the QB from Carolina whose name eludes me for some reason.

I agree about Steven Jackson, he is a beast and it'll be crazy to see what he can do on a great offense when teams have to double Jones and White a lot.
I think Hightower's combination of speed and power might be the best on the team. We've discussed before how he has been limited, or at least shown limited pass rush technique. I really hope they are pulling him aside this off season and putting in some serious reps with him on pass rush techniques. He has such raw strength, if he can add moves like a spin move or swim move to his bull rush strength, it'll be dangerous.
Okay besides Watt, A.Smith, V.Miller and Matthews, who do you guys predict will be the next 5 pass rushers out there this year? I think we're going to see a ton of double digit sack guys this year, along with the ever rising pass numbers.
