Ofor, I completely agree about Nink. The only thing i'd say that is different about Nink with TBC is that he can play LB a little better and Nink does come up with 4-5 big plays per year at big times. He has that clutch gene. He definitely isn't a consistent pass rusher though, he disappears for games at a time. I'd love to see him in a sub role, then because of his clutch ability and experience bring him in at 3-4 OLB/4-3 DE at the end of games to get that big strip sack or pick. We don't really have another player on D that comes up with those game closing plays like Nink does.
I really like Tannehill (and Jordan) so as much as it hurts that they went to Mia, I think Tannehill is going to be a winner. He's played QB for what two years? He has a cannon for an arm, runs like a track star and has decent accuracy that will get better with experience. He was a notch below all those other guys coming out of college but I think Tannehill will close that gap in the next few years. Might not ever reach the level of Luck and RG3, but I think will be close on a talent level. As with Wilson, I think Wilson was given a much better situation and team in Sea but I think Tannehill's upside is a lot higher than Wilson's.
I don't know Mac, I can definitely see where you're coming from but I could argue all those points. Yes WW has been a pioneer for slot WRs in this league and he was the best but he's just about to be passed by guys like Cruz and DA. We've discussed the injury situations before with WW and DA. What if WW blew out his knee in Week 1 instead of week 17 that year, and what if DA got hurt in week 17 instead of week 5 or 6 or whatever week it was he got put on the IR? I know the "what if" game is just a hypothetical scenario but what if WW was traded to Stl in 2007 and has been catching balls from Bradford, AJ Feeley, Kellen Clemens, Kyle Boller and Marc Bulger and DA was catching balls from Brady for the last 4 years? All we can do is wait and see but I'll guarantee if they're both healthy, DA will put up better numbers this year because right now, he is a better, younger, faster, quicker WR with better hands, longer arms and will be better at yac.

I think Mia moved J.Martin from RT to LT. I love Jordan but I think he's going to struggle for most of the season because of his lack of size and strength. He's going to get pushed around a lot. Maybe we'll see like we did from Aldon Smith, struggles for the first 12 games or so then see him come on. Haha what fg, you haven't moved on from Welker yet? He's not coming back so we gotta embrace DA. It was the right move. Yes I think Mia will win between 8-10 games but misses the playoffs. Going out in one off season and trying to buy a championship rarely ever works that first season, just ask the 2012 Eagles or the 2013 Toronto Blue Jays. DA will catch more passes for NE this year than WW will: Sure! But true love dies hard in the heart of an old man.

Anybody want to make predictions on who has a better year Welker or Amendola? I say Amendola. Oh! This is so mean spirited! How about who plays in more games this year? DA better have a great year, or it is going to be a long year.

NFLPA site now has Pats available cap space listed as 9.9 mil. That is a lot of room. sure a lot will be offset due to the AH final cap charge next year, that is only 7.5. so they will roll over about 2.4 from this year and offseat #81.
man he really screwed us, but whatever

Cardinals have an offer on the table to DE John Abraham, who visited there today, and are nearing a deal with RT Eric Winston "

Saw BB press conference addressing the Hernandez situation and I almost felt sorry for him..BB acted and sounded as if he lost a son. Truly sad but we must move on!
Just made aware Tennessee (college) was trying to recruit Thompkins (wr) along w/ Patterson and Hunter..I def see some talent here and Ten knew it.
Dobson, Boyce, Amendola, Thompkins and Gronk!! Spread em out boys!

You can add Da'rick Rogers to that list of WRs at Tennenee ofor. Just picture those four on the field together if everything had worked out, those are four big, fast athletes.
Has any of you guys been down to watch the Pats at training camp before? I'm going down tomorrow but just curious as to how close to the action you can get. I'd like to get some good pictures and see some action without being like 50+ yards away.

They have two separate practice fields. I find sitting on the hill most comfortable. Bring a chair. Bleachers are okay. You're not all that close but are close enough for pictures. The OL drills are well beyond picture taking. I think a practice involving another team would be best.

Thanks mac, I figure it'll be worth a shot at least once. As long as I'm in range to see who is who. I'm sure they'll be doing a lot of walk throughs tomorrow and standing around coaching but it'll be cool to see up close and not just on TV. Yes a practice with another team would be cool, you'd have to assume there would be more scrimmaging and action. I can't believe their first preseason game is just two weeks from tomorrow. One thing is for sure, these rookies and youngsters are going to have to come out flying from day 1 if they want to make the team. I'm really looking forward to seeing how the rookie WRs and TEs look in person; Dobson, Boyce, Thompkins, Harrison, Sudfeld and Ford. It'll be fun seeing Mallett unload some deep balls to these kids and I wonder what they'll have Tebow doing.

Rogers was one of the guys I wanted NE to sign after the draft. Where is he?
BB in his statement yesterday indicated that the era of taking on players with character concerns may be at an end here in NE.

Yeah I was gonna try to get down there early and get a good spot. I'm watching some clips of Denver's TC earlier today on the Network and it looks like the fans are like 20 feet from the player. I hope it's like that tomorrow. Just read that Mike and Mike are shooting their show from the Pats TC tomorrow morning. Gates open up at 5am, that's an early morning on my day off haha.
Sucks about John Abraham, I had a feeling he'd run for the money. I haven't heard the contract numbers but I'm guess Ari offered him the most money. He always sounded like a money first player.
Yeah I loved D.Rogers too fg, I would've been fine with taking him in Rd 4. Big upside but has just had some maturity issues. Sucks he went to Buffalo. Stevie Johnson, Robert Woods and Rogers could be a nasty WR trio if they get their QB situation in order.

Stevie Johnson, Robert Woods and Rogers could be a nasty WR trio if they get their QB situation in order. But they won't solve their QB issues. We play them the first and the last games of the season. I wonder how often that happens?

Yeah that's too bad about Swope. I enjoyed watching him play. Arizona will be interesting to watch this year. They got Palmer throwing to Fitz and Floyd, Mendenhall, Ryan Williams and a few rookies at RB, should be an improved OL with Brown back and drafting Cooper, still got Dockett and Campbell up front with Abraham, then Washington, Dansby and Okafor at LB and Peterson, Cason, Tony Jefferson and Mathieu at DB. Man those NFC games are going to be fun to watch.
True fg, but the Bills compete with us sometimes when they really shouldn't. Remember when they started doubling Gronk and Welker recently and they stifle our offense. Then Brady tends to throw lots of picks against them for some reason. We did run all over them in that one game last year so hopefully we can continue that. I think if they go with Manuel over Kolb, week 1 will be an easier win than week 17 will be.

@jasonlacanfora:
Percy Harvin yet to finalize 2nd opinion on hip, with that process ongoing. If surgery required as 1st Dr. recommended likely season ending _____________________________________________
CRUSHING blow to Seattle. just shows why losing a great on field player like AH isnt the end of the world for us. other teams lose plays as well (just not due to sociopathic murdering sprees).
Crabtree down for 9ers, Percy will at the very least miss a good amount if not the season for Seattle. Thats football. stuff happens. we have a good shot this year, IF we can stay healthy (big if cuz most teams cant, but the good team who stays healthy and plays well at the end of the year wins it, every year) we can a the very least make a nice playoff push.
i still got them going to the AFC championship game in Denver, you may say its too early but its my opinion. like i said i think its too early to crown a champion, its too early to say who makes the big game, but i dont think its too early to say a team witht he best Qb in history will make the AFC championship game especially because the conference is more 'up for grabs' than it ever has been

It also must mean he shows cogitative effects, and that will be his forever. I wonder if it is so bad this is something he wanted. I'm sure that there will be more information since "head trauma" is getting so much attention.

Saw that Quentarus Smith was fully cleared by DEN, 5th round pick, I'll be harking on this kid for a while should the Pats D struggle to get pressure and QSmith has a good rookie season.

Love this news...Tebow is practicing with the backs and receivers today and was running routes and catching passes from Mallett.
I decided not to go down to TC today because of the crappy weather but would've loved to have seen Tebow catching passes, along with the rookie WRs and TEs.

SO much for "He is just a QB with this team." It would have been nice to know if he had any hands. I wonder if he had any reps at QB?
