Not a great victory but a good victory. Combination of good Houston D and rust. That bye week not all it is cracked up to be. If we have our health we will play much better next week regardless of opponent. Oh, and a bad drop and poor QB play by Brock, always our ace in the hole.

Good win, kinda felt like the Baltimore game when Pats kept turning the ball over.
I felt nervous watching Gost. attempt the first extra point.
Let's be honest, Butler and Logan made their cases as deserving candidates to get paid this season.
Never knew Lewis had breakaway long speed.
Clowny & Mercilus did great w/o Watt..next season they could have the best D in all of football. But for now, GO PATS!!!!

GB v Dallas - shit, don't want to face either of those teams after watching this game. So, if we are lucky enough to win next week we face Atlanta or G Bay. Pick your friggin poison.

I have never seen anybody play QB as well as Rodgers currently is. A few years ago when Brady seemed to have slipped a bit I thought Rodgers was the best in the game. Yet he then slipped a bit while Brady's game improved. Rodgers has reclaimed that spot, at least for now with the streak he is on. His arm, awareness, athleticism, ability to move in the pocket, run and throw accurately the way he does while outside the pocket and on the move is amazing.

From here on out it's all about the Patriots defense. I doubt Bell can be stopped, highly doubt shutting down Atlanta offense, and getting Rodgers moving is just half the battle. The only stat I haven't seen from this years defense is a pick 6. If they achieve that, they'll check-off everything a defense can do in a season. Good to see Pats win a game but feel they didn't do their best. This screams, "it's all about us," mentality. If they do their jobs they should be fine regardless of opponent. Besides Atlanta offense, these remaining teams aren't superior better than Pats. In fact, Patriots & Steelers might be most balanced.

If the opponent cannot create pressure up the middle then our O will be fine. But Pitt may be bale to do that though not as effective as Houston.. We need to control, not stop, Bell. If we control him and do not succumb to up the middle pressure I like our chances.
As for either Atlanta or G Bay. I doubt they can create the inside pressure but I doubt we stop either of those offenses. So the question will be will our D be just a bit better than the other D's they recently have steam rolled?

Nervous about this upcoming game. Almost feel like the Steelers are due and they will copy Houston's interior pass rush to disrupt Brady. Will the three B's go off?
Good points are the game is at home and I presume Dante is coaching the heck out of the OL, Brady's past success @ Pitt, and I just can't see us making the same stupid mistakes and turnovers.

Dallas has to be wondering where these GB missed FG's and fumbles were last week especially the missed FG's.

nice to get the 3 but that was a bad drop by Mitchell. Almost a repeat of the Floyd tip last week except Floyd had no chance and Mitchell should have caught this one

Will Boswll's missed PAT be as big as Gostowski's last year?

I think the ball came loose but was he already down? Tough one to overturn. Where was his knee or forearm?

what the announcers are missing is that a runner is down when his forearm hits the ground. Brady's forearm hit the ground prior to the ball coming loose. His shoulders and elbow and head were not but the forearm was.

Andy "Fucking" Reid as Coach of the Year. You gotta be shitting me.
Jason Garrett (Cowboys), Jack Del Rio (Raiders) and Dan Quinn (Falcons) got several votes for leading turnaround playoff seasons. Bill Belichick came close to breaking his nine-year drought and becoming a three-time winner with the Patriots, but ultimately, Reid got the most respect from a panel of his peers.
Any of these deserved it way more than Reid. F'in mind boggling.
BB never will get it because of hatred and jealousy. How soon we forget the 3 and 1 start and then the loss of Gronk, oh, and btw, the best record in the league with nary a Pro Bowler.

Atlanta was 11 - 5 this year in a weak division where they went 5 and 1 (Bucs first game of year). They lost to the Eagles and Chargers (at home). They are not omnipotent. Why and how did they lose those 5 games? Need to find those weaknesses. Atlanta was 6 and 2 on the road. Patriots 8 and 0. SB is an away game. Can we confuse Ryan? Is Ryan due for a bad game? Are the Falcons due for a let down?

This team just feels genuine & united. Love their attitude & energy. It wouldn't surprise me if Patriots blow out the Falcons..🤔

2017 Salary Cap - projected to have about $61M available. Actually have more as Volmer will save about $1.85 M. Amendola will save about $6.5 M. So, closer to $70 M.
DA must resign at significantly less money ($2.5M???) or he is gone. Have come to really appreciate DA but not much room for him as we develop more younger WR's. So, he may be gone regardless but can we afford to let his talent go?
Priorities:
DH M Butler A Branch M Bennett L Ryan D. Harmon

Reading quite a bit about JG is not worth a 1st. He is worth what another team is willing to pay and BB accept. But here is what gets me. Not all that long ago QB's spent three years apprenticing and only then did they become starters. JG has apprenticed for three years behind at least the best current QB and the best coach and franchise. He is absolutely light years ahead of most current rookie QB's who were drafted in RD 1 and even more so than any QB coming out in this year's draft. Yet, I see three QB's going in the top ten of many mocks including the guy from NC who has a total of one year college starting experience. ONE YEAR. I've seen him high as #1 and #3. Who is better prepared to be a pro QB with a higher probability of success? Easily JG. If a GM would spend #1 or 3 or 10 or whatever, on an unproven risky college 1 or 2 year "wonder" (they are idiots) then I guarantee you JG is worth at least a 1. Likely much more. BB needs to create a bidding war of the dumb, desperate and smart.
